About Wild Cards
Hi, I'm Usman.
I made Wild Cards because animals have always been part of my story. They have been my friends, my work and my teachers.
Where it started
It started with a game
I grew up loving animals. Some of my best memories are playing Top Trumps with my brothers. It was so much fun, and without even noticing, we were learning about every animal in the pack.
Becoming a trainer
Then animals became my work
As I grew up, I got to learn from animals up close and work with them every day. I became an animal trainer for dogs, horses and raptors. I've always felt connected to them, in more ways than one.
Animals show us so much about where we come from. When we choose to look, we can see the patterns and lessons in our own lives.
It's at the heart of my coaching practice too: I help people make that connection.
Why Wild Cards
Nature, kept simple
All of that became Wild Cards. I wanted something that keeps nature simple but does more than one thing. It's a real deck of playing cards: 52 national animals from around the world, and two legendary Jokers. It can be:
- ♠A lessonLearn something true about an animal and the country that chose it.
- ♥A gamePlay Top Trumps with friends and family, just like I did.
- ♦A deck of cardsUse it for any card game you already know.
- ♣A nudgeDraw a card when you need a nudge in the right direction.
I hope Wild Cards brings you some of the joy that animals have brought me.
